Armoured Vehicles Nigam Limited (AVNL) has launched a massive recruitment drive for the year 2026. A total of 1,213 eligible candidates will be selected under this campaign. Notably, the recruitment offers opportunities for everyone—from ITI-qualified youth to experienced professionals in fields such as engineering, Chartered Accountancy (CA), Human Resources, Marketing, and Cybersecurity.
The highest number of vacancies—1,005—is for the post of Junior Technician. Additionally, there are 208 vacancies in executive-level roles, including Junior Manager, Assistant Manager, Deputy Manager, Senior Manager, Consultant, and Additional General Manager. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online from July 11 to July 25, 2026.
Highest Recruitment in These Trades
Regarding technical posts, the highest number of vacancies (400) is for the Fitter (General) trade. This is followed by 216 posts for Machinist, 84 for Electrician, 69 for Electronic Mechanic, 66 for Raw Material Management (OMHE), and 55 for Welder. Recruitment will also take place for trades such as Foundryman, Quality Assurance, Painter, Electroplater, Mechanic (Machine Tool Maintenance), and others.
In the executive category, the highest number of vacancies (92) is for the post of Junior Manager (Mechanical). Appointments will also be made in fields such as Electronics, Electrical, Human Resources, Metallurgy, Official Language (Rajbhasha), Artificial Intelligence, Finance, Information Technology, Marketing, Company Secretary, Public Relations, Cybersecurity, and Intellectual Property.
Postings Across Units Nationwide
Selected candidates will be posted at various AVNL units. These include centers across the country such as HVF (Avadi, Chennai), OFMK (Jabalpur), MTPF (Medak), and EFA (Ambernath). All appointments will be made on a Fixed Term Employment basis.
Required Qualifications for Posts
For Junior Technician posts, an ITI (NTC/NAC) certificate in the relevant trade is mandatory. Meanwhile, for positions such as Junior Manager, Assistant Manager, and Deputy Manager, a BE/BTech or other prescribed postgraduate degree in the relevant discipline is required.
A degree or postgraduate qualification in the relevant subject is necessary for roles in Human Resources, Finance, Marketing, Official Language (Rajbhasha), Company Secretary, and Public Relations. For the Consultant (Finance & Audit) position, candidates must be Chartered Accountants (CA) with at least 10 years of experience. For the Additional General Manager (Business Development) post, the candidate must be a retired Army officer (Colonel rank or above) with 15 years of experience.
Age Limit and Application Fee
The maximum age limit is set at 30 years for posts ranging from Junior Technician to Deputy Manager. However, candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per government norms. The maximum age limit is 65 years for Senior Manager, Deputy General Manager, Additional General Manager, and Consultant posts.
Regarding the application fee, candidates belonging to the General, OBC, and EWS categories are required to pay ₹300. No application fee will be charged to SC, ST, PwD (Persons with Disabilities), Ex-servicemen, and female candidates.

To apply, candidates must visit the official AVNL website and register in the ‘Careers’ section. Subsequently, they must log in after verifying their details using the OTP received on their mobile number and email. After filling in the required information in the application form, candidates must upload their photograph, signature, and necessary documents. In the final step, the application form must be submitted after making the online payment of the application fee (if applicable).
