A new controversy arose in the politics of Bihar when Janashakti Janata Dal (JJD) candidate Veena Manvi from Bankipur assembly seat was arrested by the police after her nomination. On Monday, the police took action on the basis of the warrant issued against him. Video message released from Delhi

Tej Pratap Yadav released a video message on the social media platform ‘X’ and said that he is currently in Delhi, but will return to Bihar soon. He said that after reaching Bihar, the government will be surrounded on this issue.

He claimed that the people of Bankipur are watching the entire incident and understanding how a woman candidate is being treated.

Serious allegations against the government

In the video message, Tej Pratap Yadav said that when injustice is done to a woman, the fight for justice becomes stronger. He said that after returning to Bihar, he will put this entire matter before the public and reveal the role of the people concerned.

He also claimed that Veena Manvi was in a strong position in the constituency and that is why she was targeted.

Questions raised on timing of arrest

Tej Pratap Yadav also raised questions on the timing of police action. He says that if any case was pending against Veena Manvi, she was active in her assembly constituency for the last several days. In such a situation, why the arrest was made immediately after the nomination, this in itself raises many questions.
