Delhi:Indian women’s cricket team registered a historic victory by defeating England by 270 runs at Lord’s. The Indian team had set a huge target of 457 runs for England to win, in response the entire England team was reduced to 186 runs. With this, Harmanpreet Kaur became the fourth captain of India to win a Test match at Lord’s. Before him, this feat has been done by Kapil Dev, MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli.
After the match, captain Harmanpreet Kaur said that perhaps no one could have written a better story of this victory. He gave credit for the team’s success to the players as well as the support staff.
