Ram Mandir Construction Committee Chairman Nripendra Mishra said on Sunday that the total cost of the Ram Mandir and the under-construction Ram Katha Museum will be between Rs 1,600 crore and Rs 1,800 crore. In this, approximately Rs 100 crore will be spent on the construction of the museum. He said in Ayodhya that he could not reveal the exact amount but the total cost of the temple and museum would be between Rs 1,600 crore and Rs 1,800 crore.
Nripendra Mishra has made this announcement amid the ongoing investigation into theft of offerings in Ram temple. He said that the construction work of Ram temple is likely to be completed by August 15. Mishra, who reached Ayodhya on Friday, presided over several meetings to the construction of the temple and Ram Katha Museum. He expressed hope that the museum will be ready in the next six to eight months.
What will be the facilities in the museum?
Nripendra Mishra said, ‘This time our aim for the museum was to finalize the various galleries and budget. The facilities to be provided to the visitors were also discussed in detail. A relaxation area with facilities like souvenir shop and coffee corner has already been prepared. The final decision regarding entry fee has not been taken yet. There was a detailed discussion on whether the entry ticket system should be implemented or entry into the museum should be kept free. The final decision will be taken by the Trust.
The journey of Lord Ram will be depicted
He informed that the plan of a gallery showing the connection of Lord Ram with the rivers of the country has been finalized. He said, ‘A script will be prepared which will depict the journey of Lord Ram starting from Saryu River and ending at Guptar Ghat. In this, along with the story of his exile, the places and messages where he stayed will also be mentioned. It has also been decided that Lord Ram will be the main character of the entire presentation.
Review of Vendor Payments
Nripendra Mishra further said, ‘The bills of construction agencies and payments to vendors are being reviewed. Besides, the process of handing over the property register to the trust is also going on. In this, complete details of the construction work, expenses and necessary precautions for the future will be recorded. The concerned agencies have assured that this work will be completed by July 30.
He said that the design of the ‘Jwala’, which will remain lit 24 hours in the temple, was finalized on Saturday and work on it would start in the next 15 days. Regarding Ram Katha Museum, Mishra said that the script writing work has been completed and the design of the galleries is also in the final stages.
He said that a plan has been prepared to integrate technology with the script. Based on this, a detailed project report will be prepared within a month and tenders will be issued for the construction of each gallery.
