Shekhar Suman takes a dig at Aamir Khan's third marriage with Gauri Spratt: 'Our government can't run a double engine, he's running a triple engine'

Actor-comedian Shekhar Suman has taken a humorous swipe at Aamir Khan following the actor's marriage to Gauri Spratt . In the latest episode of his popular YouTube talk show Shekhar Tonite, Shekhar mixed political satire with relationship humour as he joked about Aamir tying the knot for the third time.
Speaking in his trademark comic style, Shekhar said, “This man has given a unique vision to several generations yet to come. And that vision is to chase something till you don’t achieve it. Politicians, especially, should learn a lot from him. It’s often said that politicians know how to form alliances. But they should learn the art of forming alliances with this man.”
'He's running a triple engine'Taking the jokes a notch higher, Shekhar quipped that Aamir had successfully formed a "mahagathbandhan" (grand alliance).
“Our government can’t run a double engine smoothly, and he’s running a triple engine now,” he joked.
Continuing the banter, Shekhar played on Gauri Spratt's name and said, “Aapne Gauri… ek minute... gaur kiya hoga.”
He then added, “Aamir's talent is unimaginable. He’s unique. He’s like the engine where petrol, ethanol, and isobutanol are blended together. But despite that, this engine hasn’t ceased yet, and is smoothly running on the tracks towards a new destination."
The comedian also drew another political comparison, saying, “Aamir Khan has formed the government for the third time with full majority. Is Aamir Khan the NDA government or what? Even PM Modi must be thinking that he just broke Nehru’s record, and now he has a new competitor in Aamir Khan."
'This is called vasudhaiva kutumbakam'Shekhar also referred to the reported presence of Aamir's former wives and children during the wedding celebrations.
Pointing out that Aamir's first two wives and his children - Ira Khan, Junaid Khan and Azad - were present, he remarked, “This is called vasudhaiva kutumbakam (the world is one family).”
Ending the segment with another punchline, Shekhar said, “Now, I get why he’s called the ‘perfectionist’. He continues to do something till he becomes perfect at it. As we all know, perfection ki koi seema nahi hoti... Seema chhodiye, koi Reena, koi Kiran nahi hoti."

The wedding photographs showed Aamir signing the marriage documents while Gauri sat beside him. The ceremony was attended by Aamir's son Azad Rao Khan, who was seen holding a ring box, while Gauri's son from her previous marriage also participated in the ceremony. Aamir's mother Zeenat Hussain was also present.
For the ceremony, Gauri wore an intricately embroidered ivory ethnic outfit paired with statement jewellery and fresh white flowers in her braid. Aamir opted for a crisp white kurta, accessorised with a statement brooch, his signature black-rimmed spectacles and a neatly groomed beard.
The intimate celebration was attended by Aamir's children Ira Khan and Junaid Khan, son-in-law Nupur Shikhare, filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker, members of the Ambani family, actor Elli AvrRam, cricketer Irfan Pathan and politician Raj Thackeray.
Aamir and Gauri have known each other for over 25 years after first meeting in Bengaluru. Although they remained in touch over the years, they reportedly reconnected in 2023 and eventually began dating. Gauri has worked in the fashion and beauty industry and has also been associated with Aamir Khan Productions.
