Veteran filmmaker K. C. Bokadia 's social drama
Teesri Begum is set to premiere on OTT on July 18, 2026, following its theatrical release. Known for films including
Teri Meherbaniyan,
Pyar Jhukta Nahin,
Naseeb Apna Apna,
Aaj Ka Arjun and
Phool Bane Angaray, Bokadia returns with a story centred on women's empowerment, dignity and social awareness. The film stars Zarina Wahab , Mugdha Godse and Kainaat Arora.
Sharing the inspiration behind the film, Bokadia said, "At a social gathering, a man proudly introduced me to his first, second, and third wives. They belonged to different communities. What stayed with me was the hesitation and silent pain I noticed in the third wife. That moment deeply affected me and inspired me to make
Teesri Begum."
Bokadia said the film reflects social realities and aims to spark conversations around women's rights and self-respect. He also expressed confidence that the OTT release would help the film reach a wider audience.
