Mumbai (Maharashtra) [भारत]July 12 (ANI): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday met Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, who has undergone surgery on his right shoulder in Mumbai. He reached Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai to know about Kalyan's health and recovery.
Janasena Party shared an update about the meeting on Twitter, saying, "Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri @ncbn met Deputy Chief Minister Shri @PawanKalyan Garu who has undergone surgical treatment of right shoulder in Mumbai. Shortly before, Shri Chandrababu Naidu reached Garu Hospital, spoke to Shri Pawan Kalyan Garu and inquired about his health condition."
Pawan Kalyan's surgery was successful
According to the Janasena party, the surgery was necessary due to a rotator cuff injury along with an avulsion fracture in the shoulder and was successfully completed on Saturday. "Deputy Chief Minister Shri Pawan Kalyan Garu's surgery in Mumbai has been successful. A team of doctors led by world renowned orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine expert Dr. Dinsha Parthiwala performed the right shoulder surgery of Shri Pawan Kalyan Garu," the party said on Twitter. After the surgery, Pawan Kalyan received many wishes for his speedy recovery.
Was tolerating the pain since 2016
According to the Deputy Chief Minister's Office, he has rotator cuff injuries in both his shoulders, but surgery on both at the same time would have been painful, which is why surgery on the right shoulder was performed first, while surgery on the other shoulder would be required within a period of two months.
The deputy CMO, in an ex-post, highlighted that Kalyan had suffered shoulder injuries in 2016, which resurfaced in 2019 after initial treatment. It emphasized that Kalyan endured pain with a smile for many years while meeting the public and campaigning, where a handshake is required. The extent of the injury was revealed when he had nose surgery, and tests revealed "severe rotator cuff injuries and muscle tears in the shoulders".
Deputy CMO said on X, "Despite such serious injuries, the doctors were surprised at how he was bearing them. The doctors recommended surgery as soon as possible. In the same sequence, a few weeks ago, he got a medical checkup done in Mumbai. As part of this, an operation on the right shoulder was carried out on Saturday. At present, he is being monitored by the doctors." (ANI)
