For the first time, the dominance of the Indian team was seen in the women's test match being played at Lord's. In this test match against England, Indian players have performed strongly on both the fronts. Especially the bat of the team's vice-captain and star opener Smriti Mandhana played well on the Lord's ground. However, despite good starts in both the innings, she missed a century. On the third day of the match, Mandhana was out after scoring 70 runs in the second innings of Team India.

Out early on the third day, did not score a century again

On Sunday, July 12, the third day of the ongoing Test match at Lord's, the Indian team came out to continue its second innings. By the end of the second day, Team India had scored 154 runs after losing only 1 wicket and had taken its lead in the match beyond 250 runs. Smriti Mandhana She returned unbeaten on the score of 69 runs, while Yastika Bhatia was also not out on 39 runs. In such a situation, big innings were expected from these two batsmen on the third day.

But the beginning of the third day's play was very bad for Team India and soon Mandhana's wicket fell. He got caught out by fast bowler Lauren Bell at the leg stump by the keeper behind the wicket. Mandhana could add only 1 run to her score and was out after scoring 70 runs (9 fours and 1 six) in 130 balls. Mandhana had scored a half-century in the first innings also but even then she could not score a century and was out after scoring 83 runs.

Better record than Sachin-Kohli

Even though Mandhana could not score a half-century, she did something amazing which even two of India's biggest batsmen could not do at Lord's. These two legends are Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli. These two batsmen also did not score any Test century at Lord's, but the surprising thing is that Sachin and Virat never scored a Test half-century on this ground.

Sachin scored only 195 runs in 9 innings of 5 test matches at Lord's. At the same time, Kohli could not even score as many runs as Mandhana scored in this one match. Kohli scored only 127 runs in 6 innings of 3 Tests played at Lord's, while Mandhana scored 153 runs in just one match.
