LPG Rates Today (July 12): Prices for the 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder remain stable across India today. Oil companies have not announced any price changes. In the national capital, Delhi, the price is ₹942.00 per cylinder, while in Ghaziabad, it is ₹939.50. In Kolkata, the rate is slightly higher at ₹968.50. Regarding commercial cylinders, a significant price reduction of ₹183.50 was implemented at the start of July; since then, the rate has remained steady at ₹2,930.00 in Delhi and Ghaziabad.

Changes in LPG Transfer Rules

If you are planning to move to a new house or city, it is important to know that the government has recently modified the rules for LPG transfers. You must inform your gas agency when changing your residence or city. If your new location falls within your current agency's service area, there is no need to transfer the connection; you simply need to provide proof of address to update your details.

If your new home falls under the jurisdiction of a different agency, your current distributor will issue an e-CTA (Electronic Customer Transfer Advice) code, which remains valid for three months. You do not need to surrender your cylinder or regulator; you can take them with you to your new address.

What are the rules for moving to a different city?

If you are planning to move to another city, you must visit your current distributor to surrender your cylinder and regulator. The agency will issue a Termination Voucher (TV) and refund the full security deposit you had originally paid. Upon moving to a new city, you can apply for a new connection by presenting this termination voucher.
