On this occasion, CM Samrat Chaudhary visited the homes of the elderly and flagged off the mobile registration unit vehicles to provide registration facilities. During the program, a live demonstration of the digital registration process was also done at the home of 83-year-old Awadhesh Kumar through video conferencing.
The CM said that earlier this facility was proposed for citizens aged 80 years or more, but now the government has reduced the age limit to 75 years. With this, more number of elderly people will be able to get their property registered sitting at their home. He said that the aim of the government is to make the lives of common people easier and to make government services simple, transparent and time bound.
He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is continuously working to build a developed India, while former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had pledged for a prosperous Bihar. Taking forward the same resolution, the state government is laying special emphasis on digital governance and better citizen services.
He directed the officials to ensure all necessary basic facilities for the people coming to the registration offices. Also, emphasis was laid on developing the facility of digital registration through application for the people living outside the state.
The Chief Minister said that 213 new degree colleges will be started in different blocks of the state from July 15, which will expand higher education in rural areas. He also informed that under the Social Security Pension Scheme, an amount of Rs 1,100 is being sent through DBT to the bank accounts of about one crore beneficiaries on the 10th of every month.
Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Deputy Chief Minister Vijendra Prasad Yadav, Prohibition, Excise and Registration Minister Madan Sahni, Public Health Engineering Minister Sanjay Kumar Singh, JDU State President Umesh Singh Kushwaha and many MLAs, public representatives and senior officials were present in the program.
