Paris Saint-Germain are preparing to reinforce their attacking options in the upcoming summer transfer window. The French champions have already seen striker Gonçalo Ramos depart for AC Milan in what was described as a record-breaking transfer. Meanwhile, Lee Kang-in is also edging closer to leaving the club, with advanced negotiations taking place with Atletico Madrid. The South Korean international’s exit from the Parc des Princes now appears to be a matter of time.
To strengthen their front line, PSG have turned their attention to AS Monaco’s Maghnes Akliouche. Talks between the two clubs are ongoing after the Ligue 1 side rejected an initial €35 million bid from the reigning European champions. However, the Parisian club are not limiting their pursuit to just one attacking addition.
Other targets remain under consideration, including RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomandé and, according to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio and Sky Sports, Barcelona forward Ferran Torres. Reports indicate that the Spain international has reached an agreement in principle with PSG over a potential move.
Torres currently has one year left on his contract with Barcelona. The La Liga champions are themselves close to finalising a deal for Borussia Dortmund winger Karim Adeyemi, which could accelerate Torres’ departure from Camp Nou.
The developments suggest a busy transfer period ahead for both clubs, as PSG look to rebuild their attacking depth while Barcelona continue to reshape their forward line in preparation for the new campaign.
