Manchester City have officially announced the signing of promising youngster Jeremy Monga from Leicester City.
The 17-year-old winger has agreed to a five-year contract with the Premier League champions. City successfully fended off competition from Arsenal to secure Monga’s signature.
Speaking after completing his move, Monga said, “When I found out that Manchester City were interested, I immediately knew that this was the right decision for me.”
The teenager expressed his excitement at joining the club, adding, “For any young footballer, becoming part of this incredible club is a dream come true. Over the last decade, this has been the best team in England, and it has also given chances to academy players like Phil Foden and Nico O’Reilly, which shows that the pathway to the first team is real.”
“It’s an honour to be here, and I’m thrilled to have signed for City,” he continued.
In a separate development, City midfielder Sverre Nypan has completed a season-long loan move to Belgian outfit Lommel SK.
Nypan joined Manchester City in 2025 from Rosenborg and spent last season on loan in the Championship with Middlesbrough, where he gained valuable experience.
