Patna. The long awaited decision for the government teachers of Bihar is now going to be completed soon. The state government has intensified preparations to take forward the transfer process of teachers. The Education Department is soon going to launch an online transfer portal, through which teachers will be able to apply for their transfer sitting at home.
Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari clarified that teachers will not need to go to any office to apply. The entire process will be completed online through the e-Shiksha Kosh portal. The aim of the government is to make the transfer process simple, transparent and time bound, so that eligible teachers can get relief quickly.
The process may start from next week
According to the Education Department, the final data of school wise vacant posts is being prepared. For this, special software has been developed, in which details of approved and vacant seats of each school will be recorded. After completion of verification of vacancies, online applications will be invited from teachers for voluntary transfer. Considering the departmental preparations, the application process is expected to start around July 20.
These teachers may get priority
The state government has indicated that special attention will be paid to humanitarian conditions during the transfer. Matters like serious illness, disability, husband and wife working at different places, long distance from home and family responsibilities can be given priority. Apart from this, cases of mutual transfer will also be considered positively, so that both the teachers can get an opportunity to change the place as per convenience.
Officers will be given training
The department has also planned training of officers to effectively implement the new system. On July 11, all District Education Officers (DEO) and District Program Officers (Establishment) will be given training on transfer software. After this, other concerned officers will also be trained in a phased manner.
Teachers posted far away will get relief
In recent years a large number of employed teachers and teachers appointed through BPSC were posted far away from the home district. Due to this, many teachers were demanding transfer for a long time. Now after the implementation of the new online system, such teachers will get the opportunity to apply for transfer as per their convenience. This can give thousands of teachers a chance to work closer to their families.
The entire process will be online
This time the transfer process will be completely digital. Teachers will be able to apply online through e-Shiksha Kosh. This will make the entire process from application to selection more transparent and teachers will not have to visit offices. With the online system, correct assessment of vacant posts will also be possible and the transfer process can be completed quickly.
