Following reports on Thursday that FC Barcelona have reached an agreement on personal terms with Karim Adeyemi, the Catalan club have now reportedly made their first official offer for the Borussia Dortmund forward.
According to a report from Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona’s initial proposal of €20 million has been rejected by the German club, often known as the Black and Yellows.
With Adeyemi’s current contract set to expire next year, Dortmund are in a relatively weak bargaining position and are unlikely to receive the previously discussed €40 million asking price.
Sources in Spain indicate that both clubs may eventually settle on a middle ground, with a transfer fee in the region of €30 million being viewed as a likely compromise.
Additionally, there is speculation that Barcelona could offer certain players as part of the deal to lower the cash amount. Potential names being discussed include Roony Bardghji, a 20-year-old winger, Marc Casadó, a 22-year-old central midfielder, and Héctor Fort, a 19-year-old full-back.
