9 July, 2026: Traditional Indian cuisine is making a strong comeback, and Karnataka’s famous Akki Roti has emerged as a healthy breakfast choice after being recommended by Sadhguru. Prepared with rice flour and fresh vegetables, the wholesome flatbread is gaining popularity among health-conscious food lovers looking for simple, nutritious meals.
The name Akki means rice in Kannada, and the dish is made using rice flour as its main ingredient. The dough is prepared by combining rice flour with finely chopped onions, green chilies, coriander, curry leaves, cumin seeds, grated carrots, and other vegetables.
