Political activity has intensified regarding the by-election to be held on Bankipur assembly seat. Jan Suraj leader Prashant Kishore is campaigning vigorously in Bankipur area with his team. During the election campaign, he is appealing to the people to vote for change and break the ego of BJP.
Prashant Kishor told the media during the election campaign on Wednesday (July 08, 2026) evening, “If there are elections, it is natural that you will roam around in the area in which you will contest the elections. Now, if there are elections, then you will definitely roam around in Bankpur. We are meeting people and telling them to rise above the practice of voting for BJP out of fear of Lalu and elect a better person.”
PK said, “People don’t just hang out with me, don’t take photographs, go on the voting day and vote properly and if people want to change the BJP rule here (Bankipur) for 35 years, want to change the rule of Samrat Choudhary, want to break the ego of BJP, then vote for change this time.”
On another question, Prashant Kishore further said that there is a fight with BJP. There is a fight between Samrat Sarkar and Prashant Kishore. This by-election is above caste and religion. Every person and voter has to decide whether they want a Chief Minister like Samrat Chaudhary or a person like Prashant Kishore as their representative.
On the other hand, Bihar government minister Nandkishore Ram has claimed the victory of NDA. On Bankipur by-election, he said, “We will win in Bankipur, we will win with huge votes… No one else will come except NDA. BJP will win.”
