Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh has taken a very commendable step for the poor and homeless families of the state. Through ‘Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana-Gramin’, the dreams of thousands of needy families, who till now were forced to live in kutcha houses or huts, are getting wings. The objective of this scheme is not just to provide a roof, but to provide every poor an opportunity to live a safe and respectable life. It is the resolve of the government that no eligible family in the state should live in unsafe housing.

These families will get first priority

Under Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana-Rural, those families whose condition is most deplorable are selected first. In this, priority is given to widow women, disabled people, and special tribal families. Apart from this, people who are victims of natural disasters and families who are suffering from some serious illness are also being provided help under this scheme.

Government’s big gift for acid attack victims

Yogi government has taken a very humane decision by further expanding the scope of this scheme. Now women victims of acid attack will also get the direct benefit of this scheme. The government believes that providing them a safe home will not only boost their confidence but will also enable them to rejoin the mainstream of society with dignity.

How to avail the benefits of the scheme?

If you or someone around you has a family who is eligible for this scheme, then there is no need to worry. For this you can directly meet your village head or Panchayat Secretary. To avail the benefits of the scheme, submit the application along with the required documents to your development block office.

The government continuously conducts surveys in rural areas so that no eligible person is left out. If for some reason your name is not in the list of beneficiaries, do not panic. You can go to the block office and lodge your application or objection so that the officials can investigate and include your name in the list.
