Samajwadi Party National President Akhilesh Yadav, while addressing the leaders and workers at Lohia Auditorium at the party’s state headquarters today, said that the BJP government of the state has proved to be a failure on every front. Health services have completely collapsed. Patients are not getting timely treatment in government hospitals, there is a shortage of medicines and doctors and the general public is forced to wander from door to door for treatment. The BJP government has ruined the health system of the state.

Akhilesh Yadav said that the law and order situation in the state is continuously deteriorating. The brutal action taken by the police in Meerut has once again proved that the police is being misused under the BJP government. Torture against innocent people and attempts to suppress the voice of the opposition are extremely worrying for democracy. He said that the government has remained completely insensitive towards crimes against women, atrocities on Dalits and backward classes and problems of farmers and youth in the state.

He further said, the end of the atrocities and injustice of the BJP government is near. The assembly elections of 2027 will not only be an election to change the government, but an election to save the Constitution, democracy and social justice. Change will start from Uttar Pradesh and the people will oust the BJP government from power.

He said that the episode to the offering of Lord Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya has exposed the real character of BJP. The truth of those doing politics in the name of God has now come before the public. Akhilesh Yadav said that Samajwadi Party has always been a supporter of women’s reservation, but it is not appropriate to delay its implementation by linking women’s reservation with conditions like census and delimitation. Women should get their constitutional rights without any delay. Samajwadi Party is in favor of women’s reservation but opposes linking it with processes like delimitation.

He called upon the workers to strengthen the organization till the booth level, go among the people and expose the anti-people policies of the BJP government. By forming the Samajwadi Party government in the year 2027, a new beginning of constitution, democracy, social justice and development has to be made in Uttar Pradesh.
