Moradabad :- Out of 150 hectares of government land which was registered in the name of private people with the connivance of Tehsil officials, 93 hectares of land was freed from encroachment by the Moradabad administration on Thursday. The remaining 55 hectares of land will also be freed from illegal encroachment soon. District Magistrate Dr. Rajendra Pansia said that the encroachment-free land has been re-registered in the name of the state government from the revenue records and all the private names have been removed from the revenue records. The land that is free from illegal encroachment can be used for plantation or for other government projects and public works as per requirement.

DM Dr. Rajendra Pansia had illegally captured 150 hectares of government land in Dehri Ehatmali area located on National Highway 9 bypass with the connivance of tehsil officials by registering the land in private name. Many cases out of 150 hectares are also pending in the court. Taking major action, the district administration has freed 93 hectares of land from encroachment. The case of the remaining 55 hectares of land is pending in their court. Further action will be taken after a decision on this is taken soon. The District Magistrate said that tree plantation will be done on the land that has been freed from encroachment. Apart from this, this land will also be used for other government projects and public works as per the need. Wherever there is illegal occupation of government land in the district, action will be taken by running a similar campaign.
