In Ghaziabad also the situation worsened due to continuous rain. A car and a scooter fell into a pit due to a road collapse near Atal Chowk in Vasundhara. According to initial information, the soil was already weak due to construction work and due to continuous rains the road caved in.
Apart from this, there was waterlogging in many areas including Old City, Ramteram Road, Govindpuram, Kavi Nagar, Rajnagar, Shastri Nagar and Sanjay Nagar. Water reached houses in many colonies, while the basement and commercial area of Landcraft Metro Homes Society was also submerged in water.
