IND vs ENG: The five-match T20 series being played between India and England has now reached the decisive turn. After the initial match was washed out due to rain, England has taken a 2-0 lead in the series by winning two consecutive matches. India’s batting completely disintegrated in the third T20 at Trent Bridge and the team was reduced to just 76 runs. Now the fourth match to be held in Bristol is like ‘do or die’ for the Indian team. If India loses this match then England will gain an unassailable lead in the series.
The biggest challenge before captain Shreyas Iyer will be to rebalance the batting order. The flop of the top order in the last match had put additional pressure on the middle order. In such a situation, the team management may consider making changes in the playing eleven.
Eyes set on Sanju Samson’s comeback
Even during the tour of Ireland before the series, Sanju Samson’s bat was calm and in the first T20 also he was out after scoring only one run. After this, 15-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi was given a chance in the second and third matches, but the young batsman could not live up to the expectations in both the innings.
In such a situation, cricket experts believe that in the fourth T20, the team management can once again include Sanju Samson in the playing eleven, giving priority to experience. However, whether the team continues to have faith in the young players or not will be clear before the toss.
Bowlers will also have a big responsibility
In India’s bowling, better performance will be expected from Arshdeep Singh, Harshit Rana and Varun Chakraborty. Whereas Washington Sundar will have to contribute with both bat and ball. The England team is in great form with the help of explosive batsmen like Phil Salt, Harry Brook, Jos Buttler and Jacob Bethel, so the Indian bowlers will face a tough test.
India’s probable playing XI
Abhishek Sharma, (Sanju Samson/Vaibhav Suryavanshi)Ishan Kishan (wicketkeeper), Shreyas Iyer (captain), Tilak Verma, Shivam Dubey, Washington Sundar, Harshit Rana, Prince Yadav, Arshdeep Singh, Varun Chakraborty.
England’s probable playing XI
Phil Salt, Jos Buttler (wk), Harry Brook (c), Jacob Bethel, Tom Banton, Sam Curran, Will Jacques, Liam Dawson, Jofra Archer, Adil Rashid, Josh Tong.
For India, this match will not only be an opportunity to stay in the series but also to prove the strength of its T20 team. If the batsmen fulfill their responsibility and the bowlers provide early success, then Team India can make a comeback in the series.
