England forward Morgan Rogers has emphasised his commitment to remaining humble as he continues to develop into one of the Premier League’s most exciting attacking players.

Currently representing England at the World Cup, the Aston Villa star has emerged as a key transfer target for Arsenal this summer following another outstanding campaign at Villa Park.

The 23-year-old spoke about how he manages the rumours surrounding his future and the expectations that come with wearing the England shirt. “I just take it day by day and enjoy every moment,” Rogers said. “It’s good to be part of those conversations.”

He added, “That’s the most important thing. It shows I’m doing something right and moving forward in the right direction. That’s exactly what I want.”

“I’m focused on improving and becoming better. Being in the right circles and in the right environment allows me to do that. Those conversations are encouraging.”

“I try not to get ahead of myself, but it’s nice when people speak positively about me or compare me with players of real quality,” he continued. “It’s an honour to be mentioned in that way when I look back at where I started and how far I’ve come. It feels special.”

Rogers joined Aston Villa just over two and a half years ago and has since seen his reputation soar. He is now regarded as one of the most promising young players in the Premier League and has become a crucial part of Thomas Tuchel’s England setup.

The attacker went on to say, “Consistency is the key. Showing ability in flashes is fine, but the goal is to deliver at a high level every week.”

“I look at players around me — the likes of Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham — they’ve maintained that level for five, six, seven, eight years. That’s what separates good players from great ones and takes you to the next level.”

“I want to take that step. I want to be part of the discussion as one of the best players in England, and eventually one of the best in Europe.”

“I still have a long way to go, with plenty to learn and develop, but I believe I’m on the right track. Learning from these players and achieving consistency is crucial. That’s the key to becoming the best.”
