Ayodhya8 July. After being removed from the post of General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust in the Shri Ram Temple offering theft case, Champat Rai has rejected the allegations against him and said that he will talk on this issue only after the final report of the SIT comes.

It is noteworthy that in the meeting of the Trust held on Monday, the resignations of Champat Rai from the post of General Secretary and Anil Mishra from the post of Trust member were accepted. Along with this, newly retired IFS Mohan was appointed the new interim general secretary of the trust.

Terming the allegations against him in this case as baseless, Champat Rai wrote in a post on social media platform Many people have made baseless personal allegations against me, yet I have maintained silence. I assure you that after the final report of the SIT comes, I will talk about the issues being raised and the whole truth will come out.

Remember that after the meeting of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, Treasurer Govind Dev Giri, while informing about the decisions taken in the meeting, had said that the resignations of Champat Rai and Trustee Anil Mishra were accepted. All the members are hurt by the theft of Ram temple offerings. Krishna Mohan has been given the responsibility of General Secretary as caretaker. Apart from this, a three-member committee has also been formed to post the CEO in the temple premises.

Govind Dev had also said that Champat Rai, who was working as the General Secretary, was very hurt in the meeting. He felt that it was not right to continue in his post until justice was completely done, that is, the culprits were not caught and they were given appropriate punishment. Inspired by this feeling, he tendered his resignation.

After the resignation of Champat Rai, the responsibility has been handed over to Krishna Mohan, who will be the interim General Secretary here. The Treasurer had said, ‘There are allegations of offerings and donated items going missing. Will present all these things in details. We have a register containing a list of 2800 such items and they are all safe.
