The country also generated 782.57 billion baht (US$23.4 billion) in tourism revenue, reinforcing tourism’s role as a key driver of the Thai economy, the Ministry of Tourism and Sports said on July 6 as cited by Nation Thailand.
China remained Thailand’s largest source of foreign tourists, with 2.65 million arrivals, followed by Malaysia (2.11 million), India (1.24 million), Russia (1.02 million) and South Korea (596,673).

The figures underscore the continued importance of short-haul Asian markets to Thailand’s tourism recovery, while long-haul visitors from Europe remain a key source of tourism spending and seasonal growth.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand has affirmed its goal of welcoming 33 million international tourists in 2026 despite the impact of geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and the slowdown in global economic growth.
