The central government implements several health programs for the country's citizens. One of these programs is the Ayushman Card Scheme. Under this scheme, eligible individuals receive free treatment up to five lakh rupees. If you wish to receive free treatment, the government issues an Ayushman Card for you. The annual limit for free treatment with this card is 5 lakh rupees. However, can this limit be increased if it expires before the year is up? Let's learn about it today.
What is the limit?
The annual limit of Ayushman card is Rs 5 lakh.
This means that within a year, you can get free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh.
Now, whether this limit is spent on treatment once or for different diseases,
there is no restriction on this. The expenditure can be as per the disease.
Suppose, when the limit of Ayushman card came, you got free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh before the end of the year,
but before the end of the year itself, you have to get free treatment of any disease through this card again.
In such a situation, you cannot increase the limit of the card directly.
For this, you will have to wait for the next year to start.
Actually, a limit of Rs 5 lakh is added in the Ayushman card in every financial year.
Your card too would have automatically got a limit of Rs 5 lakh in every financial year,
but you cannot increase this limit if the limit gets exhausted in the middle of the year.
