Manchester United have revealed updates to four of their fixtures for the upcoming 2026/27 campaign, including the eagerly awaited Manchester derby.
The matches affected by the scheduling changes are set to take place during August and September.
Michael Carrick’s side will launch their new Premier League season against newly promoted Hull City on Saturday, 22 August, with the kick-off scheduled for 12:30 BST.
United’s fixtures against Ipswich Town, Everton, Manchester City, and Fulham have all been assigned new dates and times.
The Red Devils will host Ipswich Town, who have made a return to the Premier League after a single season in the Championship, on 30 August. The match will kick off at 16:30 BST and will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.
A week later, Carrick’s men travel to the Hill Dickinson Stadium to face David Moyes’ Everton. This encounter is scheduled for 14:00 BST and, like the Ipswich clash, will also be televised on Sky Sports.
Following their Champions League commitments, United will turn their focus to the Manchester derby against cross-town rivals Manchester City on 13 September at Old Trafford.
For Enzo Maresca, this will mark his first experience of the Manchester derby as a manager, after taking over the reins from Pep Guardiola. The game is slated for a Super Sunday slot, kicking off at 16:30 BST.
Before the international break, United will conclude their early-season run with a trip to Fulham on 20 September, also kicking off at 16:30 BST.
The United squad are set to resume training on Thursday, with the transfer window seeing more departures than arrivals so far.
Casemiro, Jadon Sancho, Rasmus Hojlund, Tyrell Malacia, and Andre Onana have all departed Old Trafford. At present, there have been no confirmed signings, though Ederson is expected to become the first addition.
United already have an agreement in place with Atalanta for Ederson’s transfer, which is expected to be finalised soon, following Brazil’s exit from the World Cup.
After missing out on Elliot Anderson and Mateus Fernandes, Manchester United are now assessing other midfield options, including Aurelien Tchouameni from Real Madrid, Alex Scott from Bournemouth, Andrey Santos from Chelsea, and Felix Nmecha from Borussia Dortmund.
