Vaibhav Sooryavanshi looks set to step out and play in the third T20I between India and England. This will be his second appearance at international level, after he first broke into the scene in Manchester during the second match of that five match series. Just before the third game, a few stand out batting numbers from the young opener have started to pull in a lot of notice from cricket fans.

A bunch of supporters already see Vaibhav as one of the most savage batters in today’s T20 cricket. Sure, many players worldwide are known as big hitters in white-ball cricket but Vaibhav has, pretty quickly, made himself different from the rest, with a bold batting mindset and an almost steady kind of consistency.

Ever since he made his Indian Premier League debut for the Rajasthan Royals in 2025, Sooryavanshi has kept turning moments into memorable ones. He’s gotten the best out of every chance, and he regularly leaves fans plus analysts impressed, thanks to his fearless approach and clean, sharp stroke play.

His best performances came in that previous IPL season, where he clinched the Orange Cap, finishing as the tournament highest run-scorer, basically. The 15-year-old also gathered several personal honors, because of his solid batting displays during the whole competition.

And it kinda did not matter who he faced, Jasprit Bumrah, Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, or any other top tier international bowler. Vaibhav just kept pushing ahead with assurance. He brought the same aggressive approach into his India debut , playing the way he usually plays and hunting for big hits on near every single ball, no matter the bowler.

That capable opener started his international chapter with a six off England fast bowler Jofra Archer, who was also his Rajasthan Royals partner during the IPL 2026 season. Later he blasted another six against England pacer Josh Tongue, so the fearless batting continued, straight through.

According to Reports, Vaibhav owns the highest strike rate among all batters in men’s T20 cricket. The Rajasthan Royals youngster has this absolutely wild strike rate of 219.26 , and it sits comfortably ahead of the second placed batter. Australia’s Mitchell Owen comes in at No. 2 with a pretty sharp strike rate of 186.96 .

Out of the six batters in men’s T20 cricket who have scored at least 1,000 runs, four of them are Indians, which includes Vaibhav too. The rest of the list is made up of Chennai Super Kings star Urvil Patel, Punjab Kings opener Priyansh Arya and Sunrisers Hyderabad as well as India opener Abhishek Sharma.
