PM Modi received Indonesia’s biggest civilian honor, expressed hope that relations between the two countries will become stronger.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was honored with Indonesia’s highest honour. On this occasion, he thanked the President, government and people of Indonesia. He said that this honor is not just his, but the honor of 140 crore Indians. Prime Minister Modi said that relations between India and Indonesia have reached new heights in the last few years. Both the countries are moving forward together in development, security, technology and many other important areas. He expressed confidence that from today a new and golden chapter in the relations between the two countries will begin.

Further strengthening the partnership between the two countries

Prime Minister Modi said that the continuously increasing trust between India and Indonesia is further strengthening the partnership between the two countries. As maritime countries, both have decided to further enhance trade and economic cooperation. This will benefit the people and businesses of both the countries. The Prime Minister said that India has shared its experience of Mid-Day Meal Scheme and Public Distribution System (PDS) with Indonesia. This will give both the countries an opportunity to learn from each other’s successful models. He said that cooperation between India and Indonesia is also continuously increasing in the health sector. Now the people of Indonesia will be able to easily get medicines from India. This will help in improving health services.

What did PM Modi say about farming?

Prime Minister Modi talked about farming. He said that both the countries will share good technology and experience to farming and agriculture with each other. This will provide new information and better opportunities to the farmers. The Prime Minister said that the 21st century is the century of technology and both India and Indonesia are countries with young populations, hence there is a lot of potential for cooperation between the two countries in the field of technology and innovation. He said that cooperation between India and Indonesia is continuously deepening in the startup sector also. Both the countries are working together to provide new opportunities to young entrepreneurs and promote innovation.

Prime Minister mentioned UPI from space sector

Referring to the space sector, the Prime Minister said that India and Indonesia have had solid cooperation in the space sector for decades, which will further strengthen in the future. He said that cooperation between the companies of the two countries is also increasing in important sectors like steel and rare earth magnets. This partnership will play an important role in meeting future industrial and technological needs. Big progress is also going to happen in the field of digital payments. Prime Minister Modi said that India’s UPI system is soon going to be integrated with Indonesia’s payment system. This will provide more convenience in transactions to the citizens and businessmen of both the countries.
