This scheme is designed with the general public in mind. Any Indian citizen can open a single or joint account. You can start investing in the scheme with as little as ₹100. There is no maximum investment limit. If you have a 10-year-old child, you can open an account in his or her name. After your child turns 18, the account can be converted to an adult account by completing KYC.

If you have paid 12 consecutive installments after opening the account, then you can withdraw up to 50 percent of the deposited amount as a loan.
