In the third T20I between England and India at Trent Bridge, Tom Banton took a stunning catch to dismiss Harshit Rana, adding woes to an already struggling Indian side. With that, Jos Tongue got his fourth wicket in his second T20I match.
India was already 5 down at the end of the six overs—a place where little to no recovery was possible. The head coach Gautam Gambhir, extremely fetish of the left-hand-right-hand combination, sent Harshit Rana at 7. It was Rana who made the second T20I against Ireland a thriller. However, this time he failed.
Tongue along with Jofra Archer was reeling down at Indian routinely clock speeds well over 140+ kph, and they extracted lethal bounce and seam movement off the Trent Bridge surface.
On the fourth ball of the 11th over, Josh Tongue bowled a hard, back-of-a-length delivery that rushed Harshit Rana. Rana attempted a powerful, cross-batted heave over the leg side. Because of Tongue's extra pace, the ball gripped the upper half of Rana’s bat, slicing high and looping awkwardly toward the mid-wicket/short-cover region.
Running back with full intensity, Tom Banton tracked the swirling ball over his shoulder. Realizing the ball was falling just out of reach, he launched into an outrageous, full-stretch acrobatic dive. He intercepted the ball centimeters above the grass turf, clutching it cleanly while parallel to the ground.

England Humiliate India in Nottingham Rout
England hammered India by 125 runs in the third T20I at Trent Bridge, sealing a crushing win after posting 201/7 and then bowling the visitors out for just 76 in 11.4 overs. Phil Salt set the tone with a blazing 70 off 44, while Jos Buttler’s 36 and Sam Curran’s unbeaten 41 ensured England crossed the 200-run mark despite India briefly pulling things back through Prince Yadav and Harshit Rana, who picked up two wickets each.
In reply, India’s chase fell apart almost instantly as Jofra Archer and Josh Tongue ripped through the top order. Archer dismissed Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Shreyas Iyer and Axar Patel in a fiery opening spell, while Tongue claimed four wickets to deepen the collapse. India slumped to 41/4 and never recovered, recording one of their lowest T20I totals.
