7.42 Grams of Heroin Seized in Kangra

In a decisive move against drug trafficking, the CIA team in Kangra executed a raid within the Gaggal police station area on July 6, 2026. This operation resulted in the apprehension of three individuals found in possession of 7.42 grams of chitta (heroin).
According to the report filed by Sub-Inspector Duni Chand, an FIR (No. 66/26) was lodged at the Gaggal Police Station under various sections of the NDPS Act, including 21, 25, and 29-61-85. The police successfully recovered the heroin from the suspects during the operation.
Details of the Arrested Individuals:
- Ajay Kumar (29), son of Angad Kumar, hailing from Village & Post Office Pasu, Tehsil Dharamshala, District Kangra
- Deepak (22), son of Dinesh Kumar, residing in Village Kaned, Ward No. 5, Tehsil Dharamshala, District Kangra
- Vishal (22), son of Harnam Singh, also from Village Kaned, Ward No. 5, Tehsil Dharamshala, District Kangra
The investigation is currently being led by SI Vidya Sagar. Udham Singh Rajput, the Station House Officer at Gaggal Police Station, emphasized that the crackdown on drug trafficking will persist vigorously. He encouraged the community to report any suspicious activities to the police, asserting that drug dealers will face strict consequences.
