A Pakistani Air Force officer was shot dead while trying to save a woman from being kidnapped in Islamabad. The attacker, who was a former co-worker of the woman, fled from the spot. Police is searching for the accused.
Islamabad: There is a surprising news from Pakistan's capital Islamabad. Here, a Pakistani Air Force officer was shot dead while trying to save a woman from being kidnapped. The name of the killed officer is Group Captain Asim Tariq. He was posted in the Intelligence Directorate of Pakistani Air Force. The incident took place on Sunday evening at Shaheen Chowk, one of the most secure areas of Islamabad, near the Air Force Headquarters.

According to reports, Group Captain Asim Tariq was passing through Shaheen Chowk. Then he saw that a fight was taking place between a man and a woman. The man was trying to force the woman to sit on his motorcycle. Seeing this, Asim Tariq intervened in the matter and tried to save the woman.
Meanwhile, the man took out his pistol and fired at the officer. After this the attacker fled on his motorcycle. Later the woman told the police that the person who tried to kidnap her was not a stranger but her old colleague. He had made the woman sit on his bike, asking her to drop him home after work. But instead of taking her home, he took her to a deserted place.
The woman told that when she got suspicious, she made noise and got down from the bike. After this the man started forcing him to sit back on the bike. Then the Air Force officers reached there to save them. Police have registered the case, but the accused has not been arrested yet.
