Lucknow. The weather has become pleasant in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, due to heavy rain on Sunday evening. The people of the capital have got a huge relief from the scorching heat that has been prevailing for several days. The weather became pleasant due to rain in Meerut and surrounding districts on Sunday. At the same time, people got relief from heat and humidity. Meteorologists say that this rain will prove beneficial for many crops. There are chances of rain in many districts for the next two days.

Heavy rains in Meerut city and surrounding districts on Sunday completely changed the mood of the weather. Since the morning, people were troubled by the scorching heat and the hide and seek of clouds, but the sudden change in the afternoon brought great relief to the people from the scorching heat and humidity. Due to rain, the temperature has dropped and the weather has become pleasant.
Relief from rain, farmers’ faces blossomed
This rain was no less than a boon for the farmers who had been waiting for rain for a long time. There is hope that preparations for Kharif crops will gain momentum. Meteorologist Dr. UP Shahi of Agricultural University in Meerut said that due to excess moisture in the atmosphere and local weather conditions, it rained in the afternoon. He further said that light to moderate rain is likely to continue over the district and adjoining areas during the next 24 to 48 hours, with isolated heavy falls. He has appealed to the people to be cautious in waterlogged areas.
Meteorologists believe that continuous rain will bring down the temperature further, which will provide complete relief from humidity. Sunday’s rain, along with providing relief to the people suffering from heat, has also indicated the activation of monsoon. The maximum temperature of the day was recorded at 36.3 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 27.8 degrees Celsius at the meteorological observatory of Chaudhary Charan Singh University. During this period, seven mm of rain was recorded, while the air quality index was 136.

Rain in Shamli also
There was heavy rain in Shamli district also, which gave relief to the people from the heat. However, there were some traffic problems due to water logging on roads in the towns. 20 mm rainfall was recorded in the district. Muzaffarnagar also recorded 9.0 mm rainfall, due to which the weather became pleasant and the temperature dropped.
Faces of farmers blossomed in Baghpat
The rain in Baghpat filled the faces of farmers with joy, who described it as extremely beneficial for the paddy crop. Due to this change in weather, enthusiasm was seen among the common people as well as the farmers.
Relief in Muzaffarnagar too, 9 mm rainfall recorded

After the rain in Muzaffarnagar district, people have got relief from the heat. A drop in temperature has been recorded. According to the Meteorological Department, 9.0 mm rainfall was recorded in the district. The weather has become pleasant due to this rain.
Waterlogging on many roads in Saharanpur, relief from heat
In Saharanpur, there was waterlogging on the roads due to rain on Sunday. People also got some relief from the heat. There were dense clouds till evening.
