VHP shared the information of this letter on social media platform ‘X’. This letter has been sent to Ayodhya’s DSP and FIR number 0090/2026, Ashutosh Tiwari, the investigating officer of Police Station Ram Janmabhoomi. This FIR is to the investigation of Ram Janmabhoomi temple offerings case.
The letter said that many public figures have made serious allegations on TV channels, social media and other electronic mediums regarding this matter. These people have made big claims in public, hence the statements of these people should be recorded for a fair and comprehensive investigation.
The letter mentions Ram Gopal Yadav’s statement in which he had alleged a scam of about Rs 20,000 crore in the Ram temple. He had claimed that 50 kg each of gold, silver, precious necklaces and cash worth crores of rupees donated by devotees from India and abroad are missing and in this matter, not only small employees but many big and influential people are also involved.
Those statements of Arvind Kejriwal have also been mentioned, in which Kejriwal had alleged that Lord Ram’s necklace, Charan Padukas, diamonds, jewellery, silver bricks, silver lamps and a huge amount of cash had been stolen. He had also publicly claimed that around Rs 200 crore in cash and precious diamonds and jewels were missing. He also said that if an impartial investigation is conducted then the government may also fall.
The statement of Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh has also been mentioned in the letter. It has been said that Sanjay Singh had claimed that more than Rs 200 crore was stolen from the donation boxes of Ram Temple and more than 50 employees were involved in it.
There is also mention of the statement of Lok Sabha MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, in which she had raised the question whether small employees can alone switch off CCTV and rig the offer worth thousands of crores of rupees or is there collusion of some big people behind it.
In the letter, Alok Kumar said that all these leaders have made serious allegations publicly and have also mentioned specific amounts. In such a situation, it can be assumed that they are familiar with the facts and circumstances of the case, hence the investigating agency should call them under the law and record their statements.
Alok Kumar urged the investigating officer to ask the concerned leaders what is the factual basis of their allegations, from where did they get this information and what documents or other evidence do they have in support of these claims.
The letter said that if these people provide credible material in support of their allegations, it will help the investigating agency to reach the truth, but if the investigation reveals that such serious allegations have been made without any facts or evidence, then this will also be an important aspect of the investigation.
At the end of the letter, Alok Kumar said that if a person knowingly makes false or careless allegations without any basis, which is likely to spread hatred, ill-will or animosity in the society, then the investigating agency can consider appropriate action under the law.
He said that no one can be allowed to get away by making baseless allegations and the law will take its course in such cases.
