Lucknow. Former Union Home Secretary of the country Lakshmi Narayan claims that she had gifted Ramcharitmanas weighing 1.25 quintal to the Temple Trust on 8 April 2024. One thousand of its pages were covered with gold. About 4 KG gold was used. The price was around Rs 5 crore. After 3–4 months it disappeared from the temple. Till date no receipt has been received from the temple trust.

Former IAS officer Lakshminarayanan, who gave the gold Ramcharit Manas to the Ram temple, said that initially the Ramcharit Manas was kept in the temple for 5 months. It was worshiped daily. Devotees used to watch it. I was very happy. Suddenly it was removed. Where is Ramcharitmanas? I followed up several times, but nothing was found. Former IAS officer Lakshminarayanan told that he was made to meet RSS chief Dr. Mohan Bhagwat at a program in Hyderabad. I told him the whole thing. He praised my faith and promised that he would help me in every way, but till now nothing has happened.

A new incident of disappearance of gifts and jewelery given to Ramlala has also come to light. Union Home Secretary S. Lakshminarayan has claimed that the gold-plated Ramcharitmanas handed over by his family to Ram Mandir Trust General Secretary Champat Rai has also gone missing. Despite his repeated requests, neither was he given the receipt, nor was he informed about the form in which it was kept safe. He also claims that even after requesting RSS Chief Dr. Mohan Bhagwat, he was not given the receipt.

S. Lakshminarayan has come forward on a channel and told that after reaching Ayodhya with his wife Saraswati, he gave Ramcharitmanas to General Secretary Champat Rai in April 2024. No receipt was given to him at that time. It was said that it would be kept in the sanctum sanctorum of Ram temple.

Since then he went to Champat Rai twice and asked for the receipt. Champat Rai was found the first time after waiting for nine hours and the second time after waiting for four hours.
