The Ukrainian administration has confirmed the death of 27 people so far in this attack. Rescue work has started. Many people are believed to be trapped under the rubble. 130 buildings in the city were destroyed in the attack.

Ukrainian President Zelensky was on a foreign tour when the attack was carried out by Russia. After receiving the news, he returned home after visiting Ireland. He targeted western countries for this attack. He said that if the air defense system had been provided to Ukraine on time as promised, there would not have been so much damage. “If our friends had provided air defense systems on time as promised, we might have saved many lives today. We are not asking them for any extra help. But at least they should provide what was promised,” he said.

Meanwhile, Russia claimed that the attack was a response to the attack by Ukraine. The Russian military has targeted several Ukrainian military bases, energy facilities and airports, including Kiev, with missiles and drones from the air, sea and land, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement on Telegram.
