Prince William has vocalised his support for England football team who are currently playing in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Prince of Wales, who is a big Aston Villa fan, spoke about the team who made it to the Round of 16 after beating DR Congo in the past week.
Speaking on the New Heights podcast, the Prince of Wales said England’s definition of a successful tournament is “winning it”.
The hosts, Jason and Travis Kelce, asked the royal if he plans to fly to US if England make it to the final.
The future king confirmed that he plans to be at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey should the team advance to the final.
The father-of-three also praised the host countries for their efforts to ensure a good tournament.
He said “It’s fantastic. I think it’s been a brilliant World Cup. It’s been really well started and I think the tournament’s been well balanced.”
During the conversation, William also revealed that his father, King Charles, is not a fan of sports while he loves football.
