In Jaipur, former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje distributed appointment letters to newly appointed youths during the virtual foundation stone laying ceremony for the second phase of the Jaipur Metro at the SMS Stadium indoor hall.
She remarked that Prime Minister Narendra Modi transformed Saturday into a day of gifts for Rajasthan, stating that whenever the state envisioned a dream, Modi made it a reality.
Raje recalled that Modi laid the foundation for the refinery on January 16, 2018, and also inaugurated it. Under his leadership, the first metro in Jaipur commenced operations on June 3, 2015.
By laying the groundwork for Metro Phase II, he has advanced the vision of 'Developed India - Developed Rajasthan', which will further propel Modi's 'New India' mission. She congratulated Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma.
Applause Follows PM's Mention of Vasundhara
The entire venue erupted in applause
When Prime Minister Modi mentioned former CM Vasundhara Raje during the inauguration of the Pachpadra refinery, the venue resonated with applause. The event in Jaipur also witnessed enthusiastic clapping.
The Prime Minister noted that the people of Rajasthan were uncertain whether Gujarat would provide water to them. However, it was fortunate that both states had BJP governments. At that time, he was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, and Raje was the Chief Minister of Rajasthan. Together, they shared the Narmada water with Rajasthan without any conflict, debate, or struggle.
Raje was welcomed by UDH Minister Jhabar Singh Kharra, MP Manju Sharma, MLAs Kalicharan Saraf, Gopal Sharma, Metro Chairman Vaibhav Gahlot, and Jaipur Collector Sandesh Nayak.
