Actor and television host Juggun Kazim has appealed to the public to show compassion toward animals as soaring temperatures continue to affect many parts of the country. Through a heartfelt message shared on Instagram, she reminded people that the intense summer heat is not only difficult for humans but also poses serious risks to pets and stray animals that often have little protection from the blazing sun.

In a video posted on her social media account, Juggun was seen welcoming her pet dog back indoors after it had spent some time outside in the heat. She gently cooled the animal by wiping its face with a damp cloth while playfully asking why it had ventured outdoors despite the scorching weather. The touching moment served as the introduction to a more serious message about the importance of caring for animals during extreme temperatures.

Addressing her followers, Juggun stressed that just as people take precautions to stay safe in the heat by drinking plenty of water and seeking shelter, animals deserve the same level of care and consideration. She urged pet owners to ensure their animals remain hydrated, have access to cool and shaded areas, and are protected from prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.

The actor emphasised that compassion should not be limited to household pets alone. She encouraged people to remember the countless stray animals that roam streets without access to water, shelter or relief from the intense heat. According to Juggun, even simple acts of kindness can make a significant difference in helping these vulnerable animals survive harsh weather conditions.

She appealed to the public to place bowls of fresh water outside their homes, offices and shops so thirsty animals can drink whenever needed. She also encouraged people to allow stray dogs, cats and other animals to rest in shaded places such as beneath trees, building awnings, garages or carports instead of forcing them away.

For those who own pets, Juggun advised ensuring that animals remain in well-ventilated rooms or air-conditioned spaces whenever possible. She reminded viewers that pets rely entirely on their owners for protection and cannot always communicate when they are suffering from heat exhaustion or dehydration.

Describing her appeal as a small request made with love, Juggun said that everyone has the ability to make life a little easier for animals during periods of extreme weather. She noted that while people can seek shelter indoors, turn on fans or air conditioners and ask for help when needed, stray animals have no such options.

In the caption accompanying her video, the television host reflected on the challenges animals face during heatwaves. She wrote that the extreme temperatures are difficult for everyone but can be even more dangerous for animals that have no fans, no shade and no way to ask for assistance. She added that something as simple as leaving a bowl of clean drinking water outside a home, workplace or business could save an animal’s life.

Juggun concluded her message by encouraging empathy and shared responsibility. She reminded her followers that humans share the world with countless other living creatures and that kindness does not always require grand gestures. Instead, she said, small everyday actions rooted in compassion and mindfulness can have a meaningful impact on the lives of animals struggling to cope with the summer heat.
