DU: Delhi University (DU) has announced the tentative dates for physical trials regarding admission under the ECA (Extra-Curricular Activities) quota. The detailed trial schedule will be released on the university's admission portal.

The university has clarified that information regarding trial dates and centers will not be sent to candidates individually. Therefore, candidates are advised to regularly check the DU admission website for details on trial centers and tentative dates specific to their ECA category.

What to bring to the trial?
According to the university, candidates must report to the trial center designated for their specific ECA category. It is mandatory to bring original copies of all ECA certificates uploaded during registration and the CUET scorecard. Candidates traveling from outside must make their own arrangements for travel and accommodation.

How will the evaluation be conducted?
Candidates must bring all necessary equipment, musical instruments, costumes, props, or stationery required for their performance. Borrowing or sharing these items with other candidates is not permitted. The university has stated that there is no prescribed syllabus for the trial; evaluation will be based on the candidate's talent and performance in the respective ECA activity.

Rules to follow during the trial:
The decision of the assessment committee regarding evaluation and marking in the ECA trial will be final.
There is no provision for grievances or a second chance after the trial.
Audio or video recording of the trial is prohibited.

Unauthorized use of mobile phones, electronic devices, the internet, or AI tools may lead to the cancellation of the candidate's candidature.
All candidates will participate in the trial at their own risk and responsibility.
No special concessions will be granted in the event of illness or injury during the trial.
ECA categories include Creative Writing, Debate, Dance, Digital Media, Fine Arts, Music, Theatre, Quiz, Divinity, and Yoga.

Topics for Creative Writing and Debate will be announced at the time of the trial.
Candidates for Dance, Music, and Theatre must prepare a performance lasting 3 to 5 minutes. Candidates for the digital media category must bring their own equipment and copies of their past work.

The use of image editing software, filters, and AI-based tools will not be permitted during the digital media trial.
Candidates in the quiz category will be evaluated through a written round based on current affairs and general knowledge.

The university has stated that requests to reschedule trial dates will be entertained only in exceptional circumstances—such as outstation candidates being unable to secure travel tickets—and will require the approval of the ECA committee. Trial dates will not be rescheduled once the designated dates for a category have passed, regardless of the reason, including medical grounds.
