UP Global Investors Summit: Former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav has targeted the BJP government on Saturday. Opposition Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh has taken a dig at the BJP over a report which claimed that the Yogi government signed several MoUs for investment worth thousands of crores of rupees in UP. Newslaundry.com has claimed in its investigation that the UP government organized the Global Investors Summit in February 2023. During this period, many companies and institutions promised to make big investments in the state. Among these, there is no clear record of RG Strategies Group, which has signed MoUs worth about Rs 1.65 lakh crore, on the website of the Corporate Ministry of the Government of India. The educational institution, which claims to have invested Rs 40 thousand crores, has about 600 students and its financial condition is also very limited.
The report further claims that it proved difficult to gather concrete information about the NGOs that signed an MoU for investment of Rs 1400 crore at the Global Investors Summit. A person associated with this organization claims that its director owes money to many people. Regarding this report, SP leader Akhilesh Yadav wrote in his ex-post, “Not only the colleagues of the BJP, even their companies turned out to be unregistered. There is no investment in UP, a tournament is taking place among the BJP corrupt people.”
