Following the review, a crackdown was initiated against this Chinese app, which was being misused by some individuals to suddenly halt e-rickshaws mid-journey for fun. Such actions not only caused distress to e-rickshaw drivers but also posed a risk of accidents due to the sudden stops.

The crackdown was also driven by the government's focus on promoting trustworthy and secure technology, rather than technology that creates trouble or inconvenience for others.

**How ​​Were the E-Rickshaws Being Stopped?**
This Chinese app was developed by Shenzhen Grenergy Technology. It was designed to wirelessly monitor the charge, health, temperature, and voltage of Bluetooth-enabled lithium batteries. In simple terms, the app functioned as a Battery Management System (BMS) interface, but some individuals turned it into a tool for amusement and harassing others.
