HTET Exam Overview


HTET Exam Guidelines 2026: The Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) is scheduled for July 4 and 5, 2026, organized by the Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH). This examination will assess candidates across three levels: PRT, TGT, and PGT. It is crucial for candidates to familiarize themselves with the exam day guidelines to ensure a smooth experience.


Candidate Participation

2.33 lakh candidates to take the exam
A total of 233,294 candidates will participate in the HTET across 383 centers. The Level-3 exam is set for July 4 in the evening session, with 73,091 candidates. The Level-2 exam will occur on the morning of July 5, with 119,141 candidates, while the Level-1 exam will take place in the evening on the same day, involving 41,062 candidates.


Security Measures

Surveillance via AI-equipped cameras
To ensure a fair examination process, the Board has implemented advanced security measures, including the use of AI-enabled CCTV cameras to monitor exam centers. This system allows for real-time oversight from a Command and Control Center at the Board's headquarters, facilitating immediate identification of any suspicious behavior.


Screening via metal detectors
Board officials, including Chairman Shankar Lal Dhupar and Secretary Munish Sharma, have outlined essential protocols for the exam's conduct. All candidates will undergo thorough screening with metal detectors and biometric verification before entering the exam venue to prevent any irregularities.

Arrival Guidelines

How early must one reach the exam center?
Candidates are required to arrive at the exam center at least 2 hours and 10 minutes prior to the start time. This allows for necessary procedures such as metal detector screening, biometric verification, and thumb impression recording.


Admit Card Instructions

Download and carry a printout of the admit card
Candidates can obtain their admit cards from the official website, bseh.org.in. Entry to the exam center will not be permitted without a printed admit card.


Required Documents

What must be carried to the exam center?
Candidates should bring the following:


  • A color printout of the e-admit card
  • The original photo ID used during the online application
  • Color printouts of both the 'Center Copy' and 'Candidate Copy' of the admit card
  • A recent color photograph affixed to the admit card, attested by a Gazetted Officer

Prohibited Items

What is prohibited at the exam center?
The following items are banned:


  • Mobile phones
  • Smartwatches and regular watches
  • Calculators
  • Bluetooth devices, earphones, and other electronic gadgets
  • Cameras
  • Metal objects
  • Wallets and plastic pouches
  • Jewelry (rings, chains, earrings, lockets, etc.)
  • Any paper, notes, or written slips

Permitted Items

What items are permitted?
Female candidates may wear a bindi, sindoor, and mangalsutra. Baptized Sikh candidates are allowed to carry religious symbols. It is advised that all candidates arrive on time and follow the guidelines to avoid any issues during the examination.
