Liverpool have identified France international Bradley Barcola as their primary transfer target for the upcoming summer window.

With Mohamed Salah departing and record signing Alexander Isak enduring a challenging season, the Reds are determined to strengthen their attacking lineup.

Barcola’s future at Paris Saint-Germain remains uncertain, as the forward is keen on securing more regular playing time than he currently enjoys with the French champions.

PSG have offered Barcola an extension to his existing two-year contract, but the player is carefully evaluating his options before committing to a decision.

Any potential move away from Paris, however, would require a substantial bid. The Ligue 1 giants are in no rush to sell, particularly after recently offloading striker Goncalo Ramos for a fee of nearly £60 million.

Reports suggest that a transfer for Barcola could exceed £100 million, with The Athletic noting that PSG expect any offer to surpass the £116 million Manchester City paid for Elliot Anderson. The French side reportedly view that valuation as the benchmark for major transfers this summer and consider Barcola to be an even more valuable asset.

Despite the hefty price tag, Liverpool appear undeterred. According to Caught Offside, the Merseyside club are prepared to go “all in” to bring the French forward to Anfield.

However, whether the two clubs can reach an agreement over the transfer fee remains uncertain.

For now, any negotiations are expected to be delayed, as Barcola is currently representing France at the World Cup. The forward is anticipated to remain with the national team deep into the tournament, with Les Bleus considered strong favourites to lift the trophy.

Barcola has already made a notable impact at the competition, scoring in France’s victories over Sweden and Senegal. Arsenal have also been mentioned as another potential suitor for the player.
