This modern and secure solution has been first launched with IDFC First Bank as its banking partner. The benefit of this excellent facility is currently available at places like Myntra, Paytm, MakeMyTrip, Tata Starbucks and Reliance Digital. Gradually this facility will be fully implemented on other big banks and online platforms of the country also.

Strict adherence to RBI rules

This new passkey solution from Visa is completely based on the Fast Identity Online (FIDO) authentication standard. This gives cardholders the convenience of using their mobile device’s native security features like a PIN or pattern. The company has clearly said that their new system is in strict accordance with the strict rules of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). RBI had released its framework on alternative methods for digital payments in September 2025.

Partnership with big fintech companies

For secure payments, Visa has also tightly integrated this technology with many big fintech companies. These include many big companies like Razorpay, PayU, Pine Labs, BillDesk, M2P Fintech and Paytm Payments Services. The company claims that with this modern technology, there will be a huge and spectacular improvement in the payment success rate. Now it will take much less time to complete online transactions and the huge hassle of customers will be eliminated immediately.

Secure and easy digital commerce

Suresh Sethi said that they are directly providing payment facility to the people through well-known methods like biometrics and PIN. Through this new initiative, digital commerce is being made more secure and easier to use than before. Now people will easily get rid of the problem of not receiving OTP message forever. This is a step that will make India’s digital payment ecosystem the most secure and best in the world.
