Arsenal are reportedly showing interest in Aston Villa and England defender Ezri Konsa, according to the latest transfer updates.
The Telegraph reports that the Gunners have expressed “tentative interest” in the 28-year-old centre-back, who is valued at around £60 million. However, Aston Villa are expected to resist any offers for Konsa, along with his team-mate Morgan Rogers, another player who has caught Arsenal’s attention.
Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur’s transfer activity appears set to continue after confirming the signing of midfielder Matheus Fernandes.
The Independent reports that Spurs are now targeting Bournemouth forward Eli Junior Kroupi, who has become their primary attacking target this summer.
Tottenham are reportedly ready to spend approximately £80 million on the highly rated 20-year-old, while Rafael Leao and Savinho are also being considered among their forward options.
The Independent further claims that Manchester City goalkeeper James Trafford has emerged as another target for Tottenham, who also plan to strengthen their midfield with the addition of Sandro Tonali in a £100 million deal.
In an interview with Sky in Italy ahead of his move from Newcastle United, Tonali explained: “De Zerbi played a huge role in this decision… I wouldn’t give him all the credit, but he deserves a lot.”
He added: “It was also a lifestyle and family choice. We had been in Newcastle for three years and last year our lives changed – our son was born, so we decided to completely change our lives.”
“We had an agreement with Newcastle and we parted on very good terms. We discussed it every day. They wanted the best for me, and we wanted to do the best deal for Newcastle. When you leave like this, it’s different. We’re all happy, and I’m ready for this new adventure.”
Elsewhere, Spanish outlet Marca reports that Manchester City are considering a move for Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga. The Premier League champions have already reinforced their midfield with a club-record £116 million signing of Elliot Anderson.
In other transfer news, Everton have completed the signing of midfielder Hayden Hackney from Middlesbrough.
Leeds United have reportedly submitted another offer for Southampton midfielder Shea Charles, according to Sky Sports.
Additionally, Newcastle United are said to have agreed a deal to sign Hoffenheim winger Bazoumana Touré, as per multiple reports.
