Petrol Diesel Price Today: The decision of private fuel retailer ‘Nayara Energy’ to reduce the prices of petrol and diesel has attracted the attention of government oil marketing companies (OMCs). Despite the fall in global crude oil prices, these companies have not made any change in retail fuel prices so far. After the recent increase, international benchmark prices and the cost of India’s crude basket are now coming down, raising hopes that public sector fuel retailer companies may also consider passing this benefit to customers.
On Wednesday, Rosneft-backed Nayara Energy cut petrol prices by ₹5 per liter and diesel by ₹3 per liter at its nearly 7,000 fuel stations.
