New Delhi. The Indian Navy once again demonstrated its mettle by foiling an attempt at piracy in the Gulf of Aden and forcing the pirates to flee. According to the information, on Wednesday night, pirates attempted robbery on a ship named MV Golden Arsenal in the Gulf of Aden. This ship was bringing essential goods for India and there was also an Indian citizen among its crew members. A message for help was sent from MV Golden Arsenal. After which the Indian Navy’s warship INS Trikand immediately foiled the piracy attempt.
When the MV Golden Arsenal was boarded by pirates, the ship’s crew locked themselves in a safe room and informed the Indian Navy about the attempted robbery through communication channels. When the Indian Navy’s warship INS Trikand moved towards the ship, the pirates fled after seeing it. According to sources, MARCOS searched the ship and secured it. All crew of MV Golden Arsenal are completely safe. After this incident, the Indian Navy has once again proved that incidents like piracy cannot be carried out on any ship in its presence.

Let us tell you that the Gulf of Aden is a very busy sea route where a large number of commercial ships move. Due to its proximity to the Horn of Africa, there are frequent incidents of attacks and robberies on ships by pirates. To prevent incidents of piracy, the Indian Navy also keeps surveillance around the Gulf of Aden with its warships.
