Ingredients to make Paneer Sandwich

For moong dal base

  • 1 cup washed moong dal (soaked for 4-5 hours)
  • 1 green chilli
  • 1 inch piece of ginger
  • salt as per taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped coriander
  • some water

For Paneer Stuffing

  • 200 grams grated cheese
  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • 1 finely chopped tomato
  • 1 finely chopped capsicum
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon chaat masala
  • salt as per taste
  • 1 tbsp green coriander

How to make Paneer Sandwich

Prepare Moong Dal Batter
First of all, drain the water from soaked moong dal. Now prepare a thick batter by grinding the lentils with green chillies, ginger and some water in a mixer. Mix salt, turmeric and green coriander in the batter and beat it well.

Make Paneer Stuffing
In a bowl, add grated cheese, onion, tomato, capsicum, black pepper, chaat masala, salt and green coriander and mix well. Your delicious stuffing is ready.

Sandwich preparation method
Heat a non-stick pan and apply light oil. Now add one ladle of batter and spread it in a round shape. Cook it on medium flame till it becomes light golden on one side.

Now spread a layer of prepared paneer stuffing over it and pour a little batter on it and shape it like a second layer. If you want, you can make another pre-prepared moong dal cheela and place it on top. Applying light oil on both sides, cook until golden and crispy.
