The seven-storey facility, known as Therme Singapore, will rise in Marina South, adjacent to Gardens by the Bay and Marina Barrage.
Designed as a wellness-focused destination, the attraction will feature more than 20 pools and water attractions, alongside over 70 treatment and wellness rooms, The Straits Times reported.
The S$1 billion (US$774 million) development at Marina South will be Singapore’s first dedicated wellness attraction and Asia’s first “large-scale thermal wellness destination,” Business Times reported.
Developer Therme Group Singapore said in a press release that the facility is “designed to serve visitors from all walks of life,” with an expected annual attendance of around two million people.

The project spans more than 720,000 square feet of gross floor area, equivalent to over nine football fields.
Minister for Sustainability and the Environment Grace Fu said that Therme Singapore will further strengthen Singapore’s positioning as a regional hub for tourism, wellness, and urban innovation in Asia, according to The Straits Times.
She noted that Asia is expected to lead global travel and tourism growth over the next decade, supported by rising affluence among international travelers and increasing outbound demand from within the region.
Wellness spending per capita in Singapore reached US$3,845, more than eight times the Asian regional average, according to a report released this month by the Global Wellness Institute (GWI), a nonprofit organization dedicated to research and education in the global wellness industry.
The Singaporean government earlier announced it would invest S$740 million (US$584 million) into tourism development projects over the next five years after the country posted record tourism receipts in 2025, Channel News Asia reported.
Tourism receipts hit an all-time high of S$32.8 billion last year.
